So you think you are going to need an engine because yours in burning oil or is just tired after thousands and thousands of miles. You've come to the right place.
We have quality new OEM or rebuilt engines for you. Known as "crate" engines because they are ready to install right out of the crate, rebuilt or OE engines provide the quality you and your Chevy Tahoe expect.

When a rebuilder refurbishes an engine, s/he removes all plugs, then cleans up all the components. S/he inspects the oil galleys, which helps to make sure that after the engine is rebuilt that oil will flow to all engine parts. S/he or she inspects the block for cracks, then re-bores the cylinders up to the next size. Then s/he installs new bearings and sprockets, replaces the rings and pistons, re-grinds the camshaft, replaces all seals and plugs, and installs a new timing chain or belt. S/he also installs new push rods, rocker arms, and lifters, and a re-built or a new oil pump.
Next comes the cylinder head. Work includes resurfacing the valves and installing new valve guides. S/he then pressure and vacuum tests the head and cleans the engine once more before reassembly. Then s/he re-adjusts the valves and checks the oil pressure and compression. The final inspection includes checking for oil leaks and listening for unusual noises.
